standard mufflers plus hammer and metal spike

    It can be done to the standard mufflers but from what I remember it's not an easy job. You have to remove the baffles from the rear end of the pipe with a hole saw, then drill extra holes in the baffles then replace and re-weld the baffles back in. From what I remeber a guy on xlforum.com did it.

    Getting a new set ofRush mufflers for the Fatbob fitted. Morgan & Wacker have the go on them. Sound brilliant ( Google Rush Mufflers and click on the vidio ) Not cheap but xellent quality.

    the rush slip ons are great after market pipes for a quick fix ! getting the s.e. hi flow air cleaner as well as the s.e. race tuner kit.

    The stealer want to charge me around 95o bucks just for the SE race tuner.....hhhmmmmmm seems a hell of a lot to pay for it Fatbob........and I got the whole ' you will void ur warrenty thing] from em too....

    I just wonder can the SE race tuner be all that good? How much better can it be as an aftermarket choice....cant be a lot of difference i think..

    you really need to ask yourself what you want to do before deciding on what fuel tuning system you want.

    Eg- you have slip ons, are you planning a full work over of engine etc? how much adjustability are you willing to pay for that will not be used. Or do you want it none the less?....The SERT lets you access the stock ECM to reporgramme it (assuming the dealers will actually give you the right bits to let you do the mods- the trend has been that they want to hold onto them to force you back to them everytime you change something).

    There are plenty of options and even more opinions. All you have to do is ask ;)
