The Clearances for an 3.875" (88ci) piston are as follows from the manual:
Top Ring = 0.010" - 0.020"
Second ring = 0.014" - 0.024"
Oil Rings= 0.010" - 0.050"
Would a 3.875" (95ci) be OK with the high clearances of the above or would they need to be made bigger.
Cheers for any input in advance

hi, i run about 18 to 24 on the top & 18 to 20 on the second , oil about 20 to 30 , thats for a higger than 9 - 9 .5 comp ratio as the more C.Ratio the more heat . the heat for expansion for the top ring is greater than the 2nd ring the oil ring is staggered it can be up to 35 clearance , you don't want the top ring butting @ high temp, the EVO barrells grow a lot more than a twin cam as the evo's are weaker & taller, cast iron barrells are stronger & more stable & don't grow like alluminum but need to be set up good piston clearance etc & kept in tune or the black death will kill the pistons & bore , i like big bore cast iron barrells like axtell + can do modifications to keep the piston cooler but thats another story , on a high comp motor a bit of extra race clearance isn't going the hurt anything
