Hey all, well, struth some big news for the ol' Superglide....
am still true to the Dyna family, but have moved on to a CVO FatBob.

    • Did the deal today, awesome guys at Trivetts as usual,
    • going to strip alot of stuff off my beloved FXDC tonight and Saturday.
    • And make my tearful goodbyes on Sat arvo or Sunday,
    • will be rockin' the FXDF-SE by Tue/Wed next week.

Pretty farken stoked to join the + a hundred cube clube boys.
Hope you like it half as much as I do.........

Also if I can take a moment of respect......      R.I.P. my beautfiful Superglide, the "black pearl".

    • Ever reliable and always cracking, we only had 13,000 measly klm's together, but we had some good times.
    • HOG people and HD people alike said you can't do a mono on a 300kg stock bike but you proved them wrong time and time again.
    • You can't break traction on that while riding, well they never taught you that at Harley school did they my friend?
    • More than once the Kings Cross police thought they could chase you down, each time... they were wrong.
    • My hairy right leg still bares the scars from your exhaust (as does my melted wet weather gear), and you will not be fogotten.
    • The great ocean road, the drunken hoons, the LED lit night runs, the random overnighters all over NSW, the 4,000 klms in 8 days for NYE.

    you will not be fogotten
May your next owner give you as much respect, as much detailing, and as much of a thrashing as I always have.

Thanks alot guys. Glad u dig it.

Yeah I was feeling a bit dirty (in letting the Glide go) last night. Had a good sleep on it and today feeling pretty chuffed about the long term proposition of holding onto this one (I always say that) but some things like like the painted frame and engine casings are things I would never get around to on a normal bike and the stumpy tight handling will be a big difference PLUS from day 1 I've wanted better brakes, and that is now well and truly solved.

    Couple of interesting figures in comparo that cam up last nigh, will make an immediate difference over the glide;
    - SG was 19" 100mm front, now tiny 16" but 130mm wide front, looking forward to national park twisties for that one.
    - And Torque.... oh yeah... 92lbs @ 3000 for the SG but 114lbs @ 3500 and all my research tells me that air, puter, and pipes will really unleash the 110 cuber'
Exciting times. Thanks for kind words. Look out for me a traffic light near you! :-)

I enjoyed $490.00 insurance for too long i guess!

Yeah tricky this one. So I've got

    • Famous $1396
    • Shannons @ 42k $1470
    • QBE @ 42k $1170
    • QBE @ Market value (they see this as $48k) $1212
    • QBE - will try that thru dealer on Monday as they get good rates
    • Swann @ 42k $1350
    • Insure My Ride are closed on weekends and won't quote over net (prob due to value) so will give them tingle Monday. Am with them at the moment.

Tha' Black Pearl is officially gone, she's now at Trivetts Alexandria. :-(
I left a few black marks up and down my street so I have something to remember her by until the CVO arrives.

They reckon they'll keep all my home made colour coding on there, hehehe.
They liked all the LED's the guy drove it under to the service centre which was closed so she was glowing sinister Red.

installed the 4" slippers yesterday, very very happy.

    sounds like a harley finally!

they are about as loud but considerably deeper and better idle than the S&S on prev bike.
