Condensation in guages

Has anyone here had condensation problems with their guages? My speedo constantly fogs up in anything but sunny warm weather. I have a 99 FXDL, and the tacho doesnt have the problem. I lifted the guage assembly off the tank, but cant see anything unusual. Is this normal? Cos its bloody annoying. Also, my fuel guage is as good as useless. When i fill the tank, it reads 3/4, and i dont trust running it down onto reserve, as last time i did it picked up a whole bunch of shit and ran like a dog till i cleared it out. Am i supposed to accept a crappy fuel guage, or is mine out of the ordinary?

Im sure the fuel i use is fine, i always get my fuel from busy servo's so i know the fuel isnt old. When i rode off the other day it ran terribly, and coughed and spat for about a kilometre, but then it ran fine. Im just putting it down to stale fuel in the reserve line. I bought it from a bike shop, so who know's how long it was sitting there before i got to it. I did a few hundred k's over the weekend without a problem, other than the bike occasionally not starting instantly. It only seems to play up when im showing my mates the bike, or when im in a busy place, so people can say "typical harley" i imagine!

Despite the faults, for some reason i'd still rather have my bike than a jap cruiser, i just cant explain why. Shame i have to put up with the guage faults though. THAT wouldnt happen on a jap bike...

My 08's the same,     speedo condensates slightly and my digital fuel indicator has a mind of its own dependent on which way and how low Im cornering so just like the others i rely on my odometer for fuel but i have a low fuel light on the dash panel which is a bonus and a fuel remainder KLM countdown
