G day i have had enough of the thundermax falling of the perch going to put factory ecu back on and run me old fuel pack untill i deside to go with screaming eagle tuner dont want to pay some monkey to program my bike when i could do that lol if they supplied the leads with the race tuner kit would a dealer sell you the leads if you purchased the tuner of them i would also want the software as well cheers .
p.s my build is o7 softail 103 ci sreaming eagle 211 cams 0.30 cometics heavy breather ported heads vance and hines big shots crappy thundewrmax.
Thanks for the info going to check out TTS Master Tune.
I am also very happy with my TMax auto tune and have no reason to swap to the TTS
Thundermax has shut down to many times for me they still cant get rid of the bug in there software ,the only map that would work in bike was a bagger map with 2 into 1 pipe
the other maps i have tried have been no good ,if anyone has a modified map to suit my build i would try that.
07 softail Fxst
103 ci screaming eagle 211 cams heavy breather 0.30 Gaskets ported exhaust ports big shot staggers with quiet bafffles .
any help would be appreciated for a good map.
all i need is a decent map for my build scotty.
No other issues at play checked and double checked it all no problems any where it runs good but pings under load i dont think the thundermax can advance and retard timing as the harly ecu can i rather ride my bike instead of spending countless hours creating thundermax maps just my 10 cents worth.
G day scotty i was using 552 map will give 553 map a go cheers its says for redshift cams are they close to the 211 cams
Cheers Steve
Tried the bike today with the 553 ran good but still has a slight ping between 3500 to 4000 rpm range under load put fresh BP 98 as well still the same on the second run trying different heat range plugs now might go colder only can try .unless i start looking at the timing on the map.
I have a TM and had no problems with it. I'm no expert, I just use the basics of the program. Have a look at this youtube video it seem to explain the timing changes quite well. This bloke has a couple of other vids worth checking out.
Hope this helps.

Thanks bluey have checked it out before bikes running good know since i took a tad of timing out in the rev range i specified bugger it iam going for a ride .
Good to see you have it sorted!
I had a TMax on VRod and man it was such a pain in the arse. Idle going all over the place, stalls at lights. Depsite the literature stating it can tune any exhaust, AC or engine mod, Zippers and the supplier here in OZ advised it was my pipe V&H Indy. Not so as the same pipe, with SEPST and dynoed works perfect and has 128Hp at rear wheel. TMax was flat out gettin to 102 at RW, so it went backwards from stock ECM (106hp at RW). It has a serious leanout at 4148 rpm and again at 6,800 to 7,300 which they call a "stumble" and "it will tune itself out as it is related to exhaust reversion Huh?? How come only on the TMax.
Anyhow I have had enough of it with both of these suppliers and have decied the only way to go is factory (SEPST), research and trust in the people who now about Harleys and not just importing poor copy products and be nice until you buy the product. If only I had seen the issues on all of the forums before i parted with my cash.
Some folk have had good results but for the most part it doesn't seem to work as advertised and surely the amount of people with the same issues can't "have a poor installation problem" or "bad tuning skills", it is an autotune isn't it???
Enough bitching i just ride now and safely with no engine cutouts and my VRod hauls arse.
On another note a guy in our club wants to buy the TMax despite what he knows I had with it, so does anyone know if ithe VRod TMax fits a fat boy (2010 Lo) .
Cheers and sorry about the spray, n o intent to offend,
Marto
