I'm now glad I opted to go for agreed value at my last renewal. Most insurance companies drop the value of your vehicle each year, so it pays to check. Doesn't cost a great deal more each month to get agreed value. I have my RKC Insured for $36,000.

     Hoody,

I work in the Insurance industry (lucky bastard, hey) & here's my 2 bobs worth - hit from behind so you're totally blameless,  lodge a claim with your insurance company but tell them it's notification only at this stage & that you're going to have a crack at the other party first. That way if the following fails you can then have the claim fully processed. Then, get a solicitor to draft up a letter of demand to the other party setting out the full $$ details of your loss. Hopefully, they'll hand this onto their insurance company who should then contact you & the negotiations begin. It's gotta be worth a try.

Have you seen a solicitor for the CTP aspect??

    All the best mate

Good onya Nairad - that will work I reckon - all Hoody wants is bike replaced.
"Negotations" thats for sure they might make Hoody a ridiculous offer payable in 7 working days or make him wait
and let the Negotations really start, all depends what company the person at fault is with - hopefully they just pay up
