Can anyone give me an indication of postage from H.D Chicago. Looking at buying some gear but they wont tell the postage until its being shipped. Don't want to order and then be stung with crazy postage.

    Thanks Maxdog

I bought an oil cooler and a few other bits, postage was $52 US.

Landed I saved $350 total on the cost of buying the bits at frasers.

they will ring you with the price first if you ask. they are really good blokes in my experience.

Some of the places wait until you get to the checkout and you tell them where it's going to be sent, once that is done a total is tallied up just before you finalise the deal so you have a choice to pullout or continue...

    Good luck with it...Sparra

just a heads up, I was sent some gear from Chicago HD  a few months ago, they were great but they use DHL & they were fucked.  Clowns lost my order & didn't know where it was even though internet tracking said it was in their distibution centre. It took them 3 days to find it.

If you use Chicago HD get them to send it Fedex, maybe a bit more expensive as someone has said but alot more organised.

I have used M&M Cycles a quite a number of times (about 7) & they use Fedex and I have never had an issue

Purchased a Deerhorn (for Roo's) from J&B once, item was US$65, turned out to be chrome plated plastic, lasted only 6 months and cost me landed AU$ 145 and I had to go to the bloody depot to pick the barstard up myself...the pricks...I complained and was told that I would get a big discount off the next purchase (15%)....what next bloody purchase???

Maxdog, looks like you're fairly new to this forum. I have bought many many thousands of bucks worth of stuff from Chicago HD and never been ripped off on anything. They are a serious outlet with a shitload of staff. Just trust them and I'm sure you will be happy. The 20% discount will cover a fair bit of your freight costs anyway. Keep the total under say $900 Aus and you should be fine. Even if you had to pay GST you will be miles ahead. If you order say one item worth $100 then you probably won't save anything. If you order several then it will pay off better.

Australian domestic parcels go on volume. International parcels go on weight. Five grams can take you over the kilo weight. Size is irrelevant.

depends on size of ur shipment, USPS is the postal service and very reasonable.
I've shipped with Chicago a couple of times and they have always been fine, prob got a 20% mark up on there but nothing scary.
