I just put a stage I air filter on my bike,it already had S/E pipes so I ordered a stage 1 jet kit...i changed over from 45/180 to 46/185 and the bike started, idled and ran ok..Last weekend I went for a decent ride and when at about 3/4 throttle it ran fine. When I backed off and powered back on it stalled/backfired and then ran fine again...When I got home I changed back to original jets and went through the mixture procedure and it runs and idles fine..When it;s idleing I turn the mixture screw in until the motor stumbles and then turn it back, when I turn it out I can turn it out almost to comming out and the motor runs no different...Does this indicate that the slow idle jet is too small...I was thinking of trying the 46/180 combo and see how it goes...Any ideas???

Thanks Scotty...I'll do some experimenting and see what I come up with...With the 45 in there and getting no difference in the way motor runs when I screw the mixture screw out leads me to believe it is running too lean so will try the 46 again and see how I go...

hi  , clean fuel tank out buy dumping 1/2 ltr fuel out of the cock set bike so the cock is at the lowest position with the cap off to flush out any  shit , check bowl  level should be 3/4 to 7/8 full, & make sure accelerator pump is working ? ,     then jet & set the mixture  last
