Posted 1 hour 6 minutes ago

A motorcyclist has been killed during a police chase in the southern New South Wales.

Officers say they were chasing the speeding 24-year-old when he smashed into a ute on the Federal Highway at Bywong about 6:00am.

The man and woman inside the ute were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police say they managed to pull over another motorcyclist who was travelling with the victim.

He has been charged with drink driving, speeding and driving dangerously.

what a damn shame, true to all the above and condolences to the family, and how come the cops always chase bikes down, 9 times out of 10, theirs only always 1 of 2 conclusions...

Phantom, as sad as this is for the family I tottally support your coments on this.

No point in running from anyone, cops or otherwise

Only on Wednesday I was called to a road accident where a guy in a van decided to run a red light and hit a car, only thing that happen was he was sent through the passager window (no seat belt on, RIP) and I spent the next 4 hrs removing his body from the van.

He was only 30 and now his family suffer for his mistake

Regardless if your on your bike or car, a simple mistake can have a life long impact; best we all try a limit our mistakes

Its sad to see this happen again i think it the polices obligation should stop at getting this persons number plate number and picking them up latter even wait for them to pull up there drive at home. Sure the guys going to carry on but when he sees no lights he will calm down to a more normal pace. Once engaged in a high speed chase there is often only 2 endings and both are bad. When you fight the police you will never win but you shore don't deserve to die for it. Bye Bye my friend, RIP. Respects to the family
