G'day all I just ordered some Progressive 412 rear shocks also getting the Progressive fork springs as well I am just asking any members here that may have these shocks what are they like on there Sportster surely they must be better that the Harley shocks also what setting do you run on them I going to try the lowest and hopefully they should not bottom out also I decided to go with the standed height shocks for my bike which is 13 inch I feel I need the extra spring travel to ride on the shitty pothole Qld roads.

Haven't forgotten about you Cordie about the ride report with the new shocks but I am still waiting for them to arrive from the States hopefully this week it's my weekend off so it would be good if they get here so I can try them out before I go back to work cheers.

    Regards Choco

Finely got my new shocks today only fitted them a couple hours ago took the bike for short a ride on our most shitty road in Hervey Bay and I can say they a lot better than the Harley items also I am having this weekend off work so if the weather holds I will go for a good ride somewhere and see what the new shocks are really like plus the Progressive fork springs I ordered should arrive next week so all going well the ride comfort and handling on my Sportie hopefully will be a great improvement.

Have been running the progresive suspension front and back for about 90 k now rear just starting to weep a bit now
Must say I am running 55 mm preload on the front and this is good with a full tank but a little bit hard empty 50 mm would be good and make sure to mount the rear so they move in the same ark as the swing arm

Well got back from a ride today around a 160 ks return trip first time with the new Progressive shocks and frort springs fitted and I can truthfully say they are a lot better that the Harley items yes the bike still rode a bit rough but this is on shitty Qld country roads and let's face facts a Sportster is never going to ride as smooth as a Ultra or Road King or the bigger Harleys and a Sportster will always ride like a Sportster but there is room for improvement and the Progressive suspension has given me that cheers.
