Is it just me or is it unreasonable to expect a $28000 Fatbob to have a seat that is waterproof?

Don't get me wrong, I like the Fatbob seat, I reckon it's bloody comfy. I've done 500km+ days with no hint of a sore arse!

But the bloody thing sucks up water like a sponge!

Does anybody know a way of waterproofing it, short of spending $50 on a genuine rain cover?( I realise that this is probably why it is not waterproof! so you buy the cover!) but there must be a cheaper option.

I dont think the wifes shower cap will stretch over it!

Yeah no worries, Dubbin is great stuff for leather.
I'm talking vinyl, cause thats what Harley make seats from ('cept maybe CVOs) and vinyl won't absorb Dubbin as far as I know.
It's the mesh part of the seat that lets water in, it's a pretty fine mesh, but lets in water nevertheless!
