Frist let me say thanks for all the help from everyone that did.

    2010 FXDWG:

     So I got the following

V&H sideshots (stock baffles - not quiet)

    Proformance Machine air cleaner

    TTS with cable etc

And Big City Thunder baffles for sideshots above.

First I did the pipes with stock baffles, I then did the air cleaner and the TTS, after 3 runs I was still getting popping on decel and sometimes on gear change.

V&H stock baffles, PM cleaner CLB 720 pulls hard all the way to 180+ KPH (I backed off) still getting popping and "soot" in pipes - not happy with this, grunt fine popping not so much.

So I then took stock V&H baffles out and put in BCT baffles did 2 vtunes and had it down to 0-2 % change looking good, only had one pop the whole time thats even from going fast then hard down to low gear and hard roll off throttle.

So you think I would be happy- not - V&H BCT baffles PM cleaner CLB 681 maxed at 175 KPH nothing left after that, whats the next step? does going from 720 CLB to 681 make that much of a difference?, BCT baffles are suppose to make power right?

Stock V&H baffles are wide open with flared cuts in a twisting pattern is that where all the extra power comes from?

The other issue with the stock V&H baffles is they are loud ( i mean annoyingly loud, slow down when u see a cop loud, piss off all your neighbours (sp) loud, sores on a long rides loud)

So now I am in two minds do I stick with the BCT baffles take the trade off of no popping and a more acceptable sound to the comuninty leaner mix so better fuel mileage?, or do I go loud and proud and have the power (very noticable) but have to put up with popping (can be controlled with throttle and being aware of it) and sooty pipes?

Finally the TTS awesome plain and simple so easy I worked it out just with a bit of searching on the forums and some help, awesome awesome awesome, greatest thing about this is if i do change baffles etc I just dump in map I have tuned already and away I go sweet........

Well thats it hope this post helps someone if making choices etc and everyone else feel free to chuck in your 2 cents.

Really I am very happy TTS really does rock just writing all this down in case someone else is going down the same road.

    :-)

Update: went for a ride again this afternoon without laptop and got bike up to about 175 (not 160 as frist posted) I think I must have been worried about laptop etc this morning or having to much drag and with all the gear etc.

So I think I will stick with the V&H with BCT baffles sound ok (not as mean but a lot more bearable), hopefully the fuel mileage will be a bit better as well (not going out the pipe unused).

anyway cheers for all the help.

i will take your word for it, personally the only time i have gotten close to that is stock V&H pipes and baffles and the new air cleaner stock WG hit the wall at 160kmph but as stated I got popping with that and I didn't like that much, have gone back to BCT baffles and test 720 AFR with worst performance than the BCT with 681 AFR so i am unsure how that works one would think more fuel more top end, I am going to have to read up some more and plan my next step but for me the BCT baffles are worth it for the fact they stop all popping even on very hard deceleration.

I am sure some smarter people could tell me how to get more out of it so I will work on it, also I don't really need to be riding at 160kmph + anyway so smooth tuned and no popping is a winner for me

Tuning must be very close both runs with the BCT baffles where almost perfect on the first Vtune I only did the second run to make sure (and the second run had hardly any change at all maybe max 10 squares)

anyway have progressive shocks and t bars and levers on the way so I will be busy for a while good riding everyone.

more fuel to the fire, went out with my brother (he has a new fatboy low) and he maxed his at about the same place i did stock 160- 165, my bike pull pasted him and away from him, so I am happy that I did get an increase from the pipes and air cleaner. my max with the V&H ribbed baffles is about 185ish.

I have learn't to live with the popping a bit of throttle control and it rarely happens now.

as for doing 195 kmph with stock setup I would love to learn how to tune my bike that good, maybe it just needs to loosen up.

The bike runs good and strong so I am more than happy did a 400km run on Monday and it run like a dream.
