Does anyone regret selling their Sporty?

I like the Street Bob a little better than the my old Sporty but considering it cost twice as much, I don't like it twice as much.  Sporty's especially the 1200's are great bikes.  I'd say upgrading from an 883 to big twin is a decent jump but from a 1200 to a big twin not so much.

hi guys, i sold my 07 1200 custom last year cause needed the money but i then wanted another bike about 6 months later so i tracked down the guy who bought mine and i bought it back off him so i was very lucky, i now have since spent a bit of money on it to make it more comfy and more bling but just gotta wait and save up to make it go faster and run smoother, but i would like a bigger one but nothing can compare to strapping around the streets on my sporty and yes i have ridden dynas and street bobs etc and i didn't really like them but its personal preference i suppose.

It's a valuable question. I bought the Iron as a starter bike intending to upgrade in a year. The dealer laughed at me and said I would never sell this bike. Since then I've gone hot and cold on whether to go for something bigger. At the moment, if I am really sensible, I know I should keep it because mostly I just hoon around the beaches, plus some short trips like Mt White and the Gong. Don't have time for any long trips so the touring comfort is not an issue for me. So...the Iron is 100% perfect for my needs (also good an manouverable if you don't mind scraping it regularly)...trouble is  I am really hot at the moment on the Fat Boy Low in black denim.

I only have parking for one bike so can't have both, plus I can't afford the $30k price tag anyway (even after trade). Later though, if dollars permit, what is everyones opinion on this?  The Iron fits me like a glove, especially since I'm a new rider, so do you think I'd regret changing? If not I'll keep dreaming of the Low.

BTW after fitting the extra SE bits I am very happy with the 883 - a very comfortable performer within my skill level.

Totally convinced myself that once funds permit I'm trading on a Fat Boy...then this morning had an excuse to take a short ride for a meeting a couple of suburbs away and by the time I got back - even with the traffic - was laughing aloud and saying to myself I would be crazy to ditch the sporty. Voila! Just saved myself a bundle of money.
