Well there's as good a reason as any to stay out of SA - not that I needed a reason.;)

It's funny though, I remember going to an anti-headlight rally in the late 80's (they wanted to fine riders for not riding with their headlights on) and it was claimed then that we would have to wear high visibility vests and reflectors etc.

It hasn't happened and thankfully they never introduced the headlight fines but they did hard-wire all new bikes headlights on which is raping your battery everytime you start your bike.

I am pretty sure that all car drivers would be safer if they wore a helmet while driving - will they introduce that as legislation?

    I don't think so...

Wonder if you can just get the reflective strips put on ... the rockers could have the reflective backing hahaha

wonder what will happen when more and more people turn to motorbikes/scooters due to rising petrol costs ... then we will have the same problem ..WONT STAND OUT ANYMORE due to everyone looking the same

have to laugh if SA make their riders wear them as well as the anti biker bill .... will we see a mass migration to other states????

Bloody stupid idea, but the trouble is someone puts out these stupid ideas to guage the reaction by getting people talking about the subject. If you work for a large company you see this happen at times. I'm looking to get a DriRider type jacket and they now have some small patches of reflective grey material that blends in well. I'm happy with that, as it's all part of the design.
We shouldn't need vests as the headlights do the same thing.....TC
