In the end I'm pretty happy with the path I took with my Sporty. I liked the classic look of the 883 std over the 883c, ie peanut tank, polished engine, headlight brow etc, although that totaly comes down to personal preference. I bought my bike privately so it was an easy decision for me but if I were to buy new my preference for the money would be the 1200C, for the $3,500 difference you get your moneys worth.

It's my pride and joy , I bought it new in july 2006, rode it home on my L's and haven't stoped since , As soon as I got it home it was pulled apart and gave it the Pro Sreet treatment

It has now fitted to it a Mid Glide Front, 80 Spoke front wheel , Custom Headlight, Drag Bars, Chrome Rear Wheel, 10" Rear Shocks , Corsair Air Cleaner , NOS Kit, and lots of other bits of bling ,

I picked up a few trophies along the way

    4 Best Sportsters

    1 Best American

    1 Peoples Choice

Im now looking for an older Sportster to trick up as Ive gone as far as I whant on this one

I bought a 1200 c because it was a great starting point for the type of Custom bike that I wanted to build , I loved the Retro look of the standard bike and knew it would be easy and inexpensive to customize further . to tell you the truth the bike owes me about 25 thousand including buying it brand new, How many guys with custom bikes can claim that ?

The Nitrous kit is a dry one, has the Solenoid under the Tank and it works of the Horn Button , I also have a Screaming Eagle 7000 Module that retards the timing when I hit the button

    It's not that bad,
But it dose lift the front wheel of the ground though the gear changes, The engine dose come alive I dont use it with first gear, the dam thing would put me flat on my back.

A few months, I was riding back from Colac, as I hit the first set of lights a group of guys on sports bike pulled up next to me, when the lights turned green they took off popping wheelies , at the next lights , it was on ,,, whent passed them as if they were standing still, At the next lights they were all shaking there heads in disbelive ,,, Love it

Walka, fantastic styling! Have you thought of a single seat. Carries through the retro styling and opens up the back guard. Just my opinion though, it looks great anyway.
