I was visiting Brisbane last week so i stuck my head into Heavy Duty Harley as i couldn't help myself..........and drooled over an 07 black pearl wideglide, am glad that they were closed the following day cos i would have done my balls and bought it. Think the asking price was a bit rich at $28 unregistered......! I came back to earth when i got back and remembered that i have a perfectly good 09 lowrider in the garage.......Question is.........as the salesman there said......" the frame and motor on the wideglide is identical to yours".......this now has me thinking, i prefer my bobtail rear guard for starters.....soooooo.......difference in these bikes are...?? the rake in the trees only and the 21" wheel......?........i think i prefer my wider 19" as i am sure it would handle better with the wider 19".........what i like is the raked front i guess........the salesman then remarked that mine could take 3deg raked trees with about 2"s added to the forks......(like the custom streetbob they have for sale....take a look at it...nice bike).........any input re extra rake on a lowrider.......? and if it is doable.........would it affect handling...? the sales guy said in a straight line on the highway it would be more stable with longer wheelbase.....And for the record......Shane the sales guy was very helpfull....i would recommend the shop and the service.........Many thanks in advance for your input.
