H/BARS for a 2010 Road King Classic

Had my 2010 RKC for 6 months now, no complaints at all after the Stage 1, Monster Ovals, and Sundowner seat were fitted.

I still get the knife between the shoulder blades, and from what I'm reading, a new set of bars may be the fix.

I'm around 5'10, and I'm probably reaching forward for the bars.

I'm interested in what handlebars riders have chosen, as I've read a few views, Heritage Style, Wild 1 etc

    Any ideas?

iam looking at a set of carlini bars (bag drag ) look cool and seem to pull back better to a more comfortable position. a bit pricey but worth a look.
just google carlini bars and follow the links.

I have a set of 12" Mini apes on my 2009 FLHRC. I am 5'9" & find them super comfy. They also suit the bike without looking out of place if you know what I mean!
If you contact me I will send some pics for you. Alternatively if you live in Brissy you can have a look & a feel for yourself.
Cheers & good luck with it.

As kingking says, cut & solder the wires. My bars are genuine HD (were fitted to the bike when I got it) but I am sure that Burleigh do them as well. I have Burleigh apes on my Softail as well & they make a great product!

I'm pretty sure Burliegh BArs are not set up for Fly-By-Wire yet.

I put on the same as Phantom. They are right for me but maybe not for you. I agree you should try sitting on a CVO RK to get a feel. Mine let me sit upright with is alot better for my back the the stock ones. Ive had mine on for near two years now and at the time did look at some Burleigh Bars as well. Back then they were doing fat bars with the end for the DBW sensor. They were even adversizing a new top cover over the risers for the increased bar diameters. I cant remember if they had the risers to match the new diameters though, you may have to get genuine. Internal wiring is a piece of cake and even pulling the plugs appart is not a problem if you have to thread a sensor with a longer lead.

What about front brake line to the ABS module?, and the clutch cable?, how high can you go without the need to replace these parts?

Hi Lofty, I dont have ABS but I did not have any trouble with the stock clutch and brake lines with HD 1 1/4 Beefy Bars. I did get a genuine longer DBW sensor and cable just in case. The manual says that you have to get a new one every time its replaced which I now realize was BS.
