Hey peoples, i have the V&H big shots staggered on my lowrider and just got some quite baffles for it.

This is a dumb question, as i am not sure of how to fit them, do i have to remove the pipes and heat shields or just the end caps and slide them in or something else?

They didnt come with any instructions on what you have to do(Pretty Farked) which makes life a little hard when you are not sure.

    Any help would be apreciated.

mate there's no dumb questions around here - my advise would be to spray 'penatrine' on the ends of the nuts a few hours or the night before you start the job

look up the end of the exhaust with a torch and you'll see the end of the screws that hold the end cap on and the baffle in

    spray them also

you need to remove the end caps and heat sheild to get at the bolts that hold the baffle.

Then it just a matter of sliding or wriggling one out and sliding the other in - making sure the bolt hole in the baffle and the bolt hole in the exhaust are pretty well in line

use a probe to line it up with the baffle and exhaust hole and then just stick it back together and you should be right

P.S. if you are gonna have the bike dyna tuned - it depends on the sort of probe he is using he may have to drill a hole in the back of the baffle to  insert his probe

    good luck and ride safe

Hey slugger many thanks for the reply and sorry about the delay in saying that.

I ended up taking it back to the stealer to get them fitted, as i thought the bike should be retuned with the sert, as i was told by one of the mechanics it would of run to lean without the retune. True or false whom knows, but one thing is for sure i definately beleive it sounds better and maybe  i will have less chance of being harrased by the boys in blue.

Again many thanks for the reply.
