hi all, not sure if this is the right place for this thread but i was wondering if anyone has any ideas to lock the detachable bags on my bike.

they are the quick relese ones so if i leave it parked somewere with them on anyone can just open the bags pull the clips and walk off with the bags.

i got them because the bike replaces our second car so i was planning to use the bags to pick up shit from the shops etc, but im a bit worried about the walking while im not around.

Yer Mate , I use cable ties on trips for my quick release backrest and rack . Try them they are cheap .

Not sure what the clips look like, but what about a bit of thin multi strand stainless wire with a loop crimped in each end and a padlock?

You'll have bits of wire dangling around every where but should stop would be thieving assholes unless they are really determined...

thanks for the reply's i was hoping there was something i could buy to lock them on but looks like ill have to DIY a lock. on the weekend when i get some time ill see if the alarm goes off if i try to take them off, if so that should do for around town i spose.

Don't worry so much, most people don't realise how easy they are to remove.
