What are you gonna do with the bike?? How hot is it gonna be? Who is gonna tune it? Do they have a dyno?

The TTS is easier to work with, with or without a dyno, so if you want to do your own tuning its the way to go. If you are going for a heavily modded motor, especially if it is a bit different (EG a 124 with 2-1-2 touring exhaust that no one uses) and your tuner doesnt have a dyno then you will be better off with the TTS. I have the SEPST and I wish I had TTS.

If you are just going for minor mods like stage 1 tuned by the dealer then the SE will be fine, they will use a canned map and you will be on your way.

Can't think of a single reason to go with the SESPT - TTS wins hands down

    Hey ireland,

I'm gonna go with the SESPT just because of the warranty issue and Brisbane hasn't got many dealers or tuners to chose from

I was going to go tts then on my 8000 klm service the mechanic talked me around, I went sepst, and the s/e hi flow air filter, and dyno, a few $$$ - evened it out, smooth - more power, no complaints yet but have only put a few hundred klms on it since

    Hi all

I have just finished a major build on my 2009 Ultra. When I purchased to bike from Morgan and Wacker here in sunny Brisbane I included SE pipes and a SE Breather Kit in the deal. This deal required the purchase of the SESPT. That was July last year, in Feb of this year I bit the bullet and put high flow heads, 103 kit (barrels pistons etc) and a Andrews 37H cam set in.

The mechanic that helped had experience with the SESPT some years ago but hadn’t used the new Smart-tune feature released this year in the latest software. The initial MAP chosen was one of the so called canned maps by Harley.  The bike fluttered at idle, sluggish on takeoff and had surging problems at 3500 to 4000 RPM.  As I said the mechanic who helped had no experience with the Smart-tune feature.  I played with the tune selection for about a weekend started to pull my hair out and at one stage considered buying either the TTS or the Thundemax with the Auto tune feature.

The problem was I had chosen the Andrews 37H Cam which performs differently from anything Harley manufacture, hence no direct Harley Map would work and the bike was unpleasant to ride. Thankfully this forum helped by answering some silly question from this novice.

Our very own EFI Guru "Scotty" talked me through the Smart-tune feature.

The end result is after two Smart-tunes the bike is running unbelievably well, smooth acceleration and torque to spare. In the wet it will lose traction at the rear wheel if I'm too heavy on the throttle. Fuel economy is good and I am very pleased. Bear in mind I did these Smart-tune at home using the recording feature whilst out for a couple of rides

After using it a couple of times it is a pleasure to use and works well, it is almost idiot proof.  I would recommend it anytime without reservation.

Ireland, I just had a SESPT fitted with a K&N breather mod added to a set of V&H basic slip ons to my 2010 Road King C.  Had it Dyno'd as part of the installation process (28 runs at various throttle settings).  I am not a wiz at this stuff, but power up from 58.4 (standard) to 69.8 and torque from 74 to 82 (all at the rear wheel not the crank - so not too bad I suppose).  OK for me and it is a real noticeable difference.  I went with the Harley approved stuff at this stage.  For me it is plenty of power.  Lance

I just got a quote from M and M cycles for the tts US$339 for the tuner and US$63.19 for the usb cable.
In my non experienced opinion from what i have read the TTS will give you the most flexibility
