    Hey,

I just wondering what suspension mods you have done to your Sportster and what do you think of the results and if you have had any problems?

I still have the standard suspension and height on my Nightster but finding it a tad rough.

I'm keen on some air suspension and lowering it but worried about bottoming out on the wounderful Queensland roads and I want to get my girlfriend on the back occasionaly for short runs out for Breakfast.

I put on a set of Showa shocks with lowering blocks. Up front I've got intiminators with Works fork springs. Works well for me. Upgrading the brakes is next requirement.

I cant decide wether to go the RK air shocks with lowering blocks or the progressive 412 in the rear and I will get the progressive for the front.

I put Ikons on my Sportsta Cus before my trip to Perth & back, I am glad I did as the ride was real good. I have also bought a pair of Ikon progressive springs for the front but have not put them in yet. I live in Albury so I just drove in and asked Jeff what I needed, he was very helpfull. Give him a call to find out what may suit you, its a bit difficult to do that with the o/s brands,  to speak with the maker that is & of course Ikon are Australian.

OK Ireland, I am just not sure if I just take off the big nut at the top of the forks, pull the old ones out & replace with the new ones &  how much oil I need to put in to refill

its a lot easier to do if you slide the forks out of the tree's ..and the home made tool sportytrace uses is a great help to do the job on your own..and a bit of glad wrap around the bleeder hole when you pump them stops the brake fluid going across your garage !!!!!!!!!!!

Hey thanks a lot I will be giving it a go in the next few days. I do like your special tool, I have one of those clamps I should be able ot make one like yours easy if I need to, but may not need to as I will not be putting Inseminators in mine.
