Without knowing the history of an Evo that started as an 883 how can you tell if an 883 has been bored to 1200 - any ideas?
How crazy would an air displacement measurement from the bottom of stroke to the top be? Via the plug hole of course. About 160cc difference per cylinder between 883 and 1200. or have I been watching too much Mythbusters?
A tell tale sign may be an ignition module upgrade and/or a larger jets in the carb, if it is a carbed bike. Or if it's a fuel injected bike it should have a fuel truner like a PCIII or above.
Also, inspect any moulded markings on the jugs if they've used replacement jugs they should look different to stock, this can give it away. Of course it's not the case if they've been bored they will be the stock jugs.
Hey thanks to some of youse and to the others - don't you know it's better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a dickhead than to open it and remove all doubt?
