hi all,ive done close to 1000kms on my heritage in the last week and having some issues with my back,it seems that i am reaching for the bars and my back is copping it hard,i have tried adjusting the bars towards me to no avail.my dealer tells me theres no risers for my model(2010 heritage)does anyone have any suggestions?

after doin a little searching it seems maybe some 12" apes might do the trick, but i dont mind the look of the swingback bars on the H-D site, not sure, any advice would be appreciated.

    cheers

Apes are the way to go mate (if you like the look) I put them on my WG for the same reason i was reaching fwd with the T bars i had on before. I did over 4000kms last Christmas and no back pain at all. Only suggestion i would have is measure what size you need first. I have 16" Burleigh bars on mine which suit me fine but 12" might be the way to go.................if all else fails carry a couple of packets of panadole and voltaren

I had a great relief from neck pain by changing my westerns (no risers) to a set of late 90's model fxd baby apes. 12 inch. still have my foot boards fitted. forward controls are going to slightly change your sitting position but i find the boards more suitable for me. hope that helps. i'm riding a 95 heritage.
