The museum display is ok , but probably a bit boring for anyone over 60. Most of the stuff is 70's onwards, not a lot of British or pre unit stuff there. I suppose it depends what pushes your buttons. However it's worth a look and you'd be supporting someone who's making an effort to cater to bike riders...

Well I took the old man out and he was stoked. Saw heaps of bikes he used to ride when he was a lad.......that's awhile ago

Yeah 70% of it was jap bikes (bit of a flash back), a few BSA's, Vincents, Indians, Trumpies etc, only 3 Harley's but not that old. Worth a look for $15 a head + free tea, coffee & home made biscuits. Some pics follow. Check out the thing on the trailer, has a mazda/ford 4 cyl engine and used to run. Might be worth a ride out there (June long weekend maybe). I apologise for the quality of the photos. Forgot to take my camera & had to use the iPhone.

I would love to take this V8 for a ride

have had a friend out from the US of A the past 3 weeks and done the tourist thing. Went to this museum last weekend. Some of those bikes are not only very rare but have never been ridden. Another good private museum we visited was the military avaition museum in Mareeba NQ , unbelievable what that bloke has collected ,Complete planes from ages ago . If you get a chance to go get the old bloke talking, but allow yourself plenty of time.
