Mate, the best thing to have behind your sissy bar is K's. and as many as you can get

Multi fit luggage system with day bag Pt. No. 94734-09
    I am happy with them

I somehow have a collection of this stuff now.

    In cordura:
The genuine HD stuff is functional, fits, is well made (by Sacs I think) and if purchased thru M&M etc not ridiculously priced.

Nelson Rigg make a nice range of similar stuff including roll top water proof bags in various sizes.

    In Leather:
If you want to keep it looking more "heritage" style kazzmazz.com.au do a nice leather bag and roll bag but I wouldnt call it cheap.

It really comes down to the style, size and features you are chasing?

    Hope this helps

    cheers

    Hey Surly,
I used one of the Rjays expandable bags on a 12,000K trip last year. It has a little piss flap at the back that u can slide over the sissy bar to keep it attached to the bike. I sat mine on the passenger seat and used it as a backrest - and it was VERY comfy. Kept wallet/ phone and stuff in a bag on the front that zips on and off in a jiffy, which was pretty handy too. Mine even has its own little raincoat which comes out in the wet, and tucks away again when it clears.

Downside is it looks like a fuckin suitcase! But, functionality won it for me. If i was doin a long trip again, i'd use it the same way. Check my avatar and u'll see what i mean.
