Watch out when you do make a claim with you-no who. When they say "we get you", thats egzackery what they do. They are not cheap for no reason.
*(not my experience but from a close friend of mine.)

I've been with Youi for the past year and had to make a claim 3 months in. They were great to deal with. The only problems had were with the harley dealer not Youi. My premium went up from $407 full comp, with agreed of $26,000 to $451. Not too bad considering it cost them close to $8,000.

dragging this up again as its time for insurance again. I have done 2 online quotes for my 2014 Street Glide and I am over 50. First one thru Swann and they want just over a grand. 2nd one thru NRMA which we have other policies with wanted almost $2k. Getting a call back tomorrow from QBE and I will try the Harley Dealer as well. I really wasn't expecting the premium to be that much. :(

I was with Insuremyride and they changed my covered amount from $15000 to $7500 without advising me. I queried and they said that because it was an 84EVO they would only insure it for market value. SEE YA.
Went to QBE, told them the Mods, they asked for photos, which I sent and they insured the bike for $15000 at $400 a year, taken out of my account monthly with no extra fees.

I'm with QBE - got a great price under $500 for a new Fat Bob. The dealer hooked me up. QBE had no issues with the declared mods.

Just a quick word from the wise .... you get what you pay for ;) READ THE FINE PRINT of your insurance policy. Agreed value may not be agreed value on some policies.

Some policies read agreed value or market value, whichever is LESS. Some policies cover your helmet and riding gear as well.

Can you get your bike repaired where you want it repaired? Can the insurance company use second hand parts?

There are so many loop holes. Example, someone knocks your bike over and drives away. A good Samaritan captures the offending vehicle on video or photo, will your insurance company go after that vehicle, or is it left up to you, or do you just cough up the excess and wait for the increase in your insurance policy next year?

The cheapest insurance policy is not always the one with the lowest $ premium.

I reiterate, READ THE FINE PRINT!

    Cheers,

    Pete

I'm with RACV in Vic. We get a discount because the House, Ute, Car and Harley are all with them. We pay the bill for the lot in one hit. That makes for a further discount. They are very tight on Annual mileage for the Harley, (8000 KM) but given I don't commute on it , it's doable. I get a ride in most weekends a big run once or twice a year.

I settled with the harley dealers insurance , at $630 ,, that was a 3 year new for old policy , 3 grand of clothing , and some sort of break down cover .
