Sounds like a bit of shit your going through there Ozroder, get better mate! I have been using a Ryco Z87 in my 84 Softail for years. They are made to suit a Lister stationary diesel motor. Can't remember how much they are but are a lot cheaper than others. Is this nuts or what. The motor has done lots of K's and last teardown (first teardown!) hone and rings. Please explain Pauline if I should not do this.

Hmmmm, interesting to me... IMO I would consider changing oil more often... as I know I would be saving on not having to buy filters... so therefore FRESH oil more often .... No more expensive then 'doing oil + filter' .... ????

Fresh oil .. more regularly .. What lumpy bits ???? Ok.. buying Mobile Synthetic for Vtwin in carton buy @ $15 a quart .... two oil changes on engine oil between service period only $30. Yeah, I like the idea of the magnets.. of which I I have on my OEM filter anyway.... talking to myself here ... trying to convince myself it's a neat idea.. Ok .. Filter looks good too ... Ok.. had a win on the pokies.. might have to give you a call walka to see if you still got a deal for us....

    Cheers

Petrol in a can with the filter in will clean it out. That's what I use. Let it soak for a while and then give it a blow out from the inside. Check that screen are not blocked then put it back together.
