I have a special on right now for all the HD Forum Guys. PFE Reusable Oil Filter Kits for Harleys $140.00,
VPW 03 8405 9212
walka,
looking at the photo, is the actual fiter a washable-reusable type?,
or is that part to be replaced each oil change?
looks like a paper type cartridge???
is there a write up on these units some where??
I run a stainless mesh filter on my KTM 950, but mainly because they can have a water pump seal issue that can collapse a standard paper filter. That and the stock filters are $35. I'm not totally convinced they are the best filter otherwise. You really need an ultrasonic bath to clean them correctly, and it's still a hassle. Throw away filters are much easier.
I'm using K&N filters (with the welded nut on the end) on the Harley.
They are PFE Pro Flow

Oil filters are cheap, rebuilds are not. Go for the genuine or a good quality aftermarket product. Filter paper medium traps particles down to minute particles as quite often the smallest particles which we cannot see with our naked eyes are the ones that do the damage. Oil susopends the particles & filter medium traps it.
Like I said filters are cheap..
Pisser mate... glad to hear ya on the mend...
Good to hear OZ.
Now get that bike together and show us what you can do !
