dumb ass question for the road king owners (or any one who knows!)

Hi all, I've changed plenty of bars on different bikes but this has got me stuffed.

How the hell do you get at the handlebar clamp/risers on a 2010 road king?

That cover from the head light cowl over to the steering lock is like a nuns knickers - you know it wants to come off, just not sure how.

Its probably very simple. Like me.

    Any help appreciated...

you cut a slot in those blank screws that are either side of the steering lock. just gently jimmy the plastic cover off. The screw heads are broken off in the factory.

To get them out I have used a punch and tapped them out by hitting the edge of the countersink... Once out cut a slot in them with a hacksaw or replace them with new screws.

Thanks king, that had me stuffed. I'll get onto that today.

ps, had a look at the pic of yours in the touring section - very very nice. big comfy tourer that goes like a scalded cat, what else could you want?

That one had me scratching my head for a while a few years back too. Once done its a piece of cake.
