Assembly Lube

    Went to my local dealer the other day to buy some Assembly Lube & they don't sell it. Said to guy " what do the fellas out the back use when they install cams" his response was " they soak cams & camplate in oil for about 1/2 hour".

    Anybody do this with their cam swaps or should I ignore his statement & use assembly lube. This is my first cam swap & don't want to shortcut it.

    Could I use another brand of Assembly Lube other than SE.

    Thanks for your replies Scotty & Oz.

    Just bought some Redline Assembly Lube, figured being Redline it must be good shit, expensive though.
