Gday all, currently ive got my rego n0 mounted on rear fender, it sticks out like dogs balls and generally takes away from the lines of the bike. Where else can i mount it ? just wondering where everyone else mounts theres. Cheers Steve

I've got mine mounted in the usual place like you. The only other option is to side mount it but it's illegal in Australia.

A hack saw, some LED lights from Ebay and a little bit of imagination and the rear can be improved vastly without compromising legality.

Try a laid down number plate bracket looks a lot better I got mine from Rollies in Brisbane for $30 but you will have to re-drill the bolt holes in the number plate a easy job cheers.

So Damon do I really need the hacksaw or can i do without it.

And Walker if your reading this do you sell those side mounted plates? Steve

What you can see on mine is the stock plastic plate mount cut down neatly so that it is far smaller than it originally was. This way it fits perfectly to the contours of the guard and bolt up as per normal. Removing the large central license plate light also cleans up the lines but required two LED bolts - which are black to match the bike and cost about $20 on eBay. You need a hack saw ($5), and some basic skills with a set of side cutters and a soldering iron to neaten up the wires. The job takes around two hours to complete.

The side mount plate is illegal and will get you pulled up immediately and defected - hence I came up with my version.

mate that is an excellent solution, I had been thinking of someting like that for my 2005 C. Your tail light is that integrated into the blinkers??

Yeah, the Iron has combined tail/stop/blinkers in the side units which are also LED. This allows the far neater rear end look.

Found this only today, shots taken off the showroom floor. Legal or not... seems like they're selling them in OZ?

Still illegal. Just like removing the front fender like that bike shows too....

HD will sell you the side mount, but you have to understand that you'll be pulled up by the first cop that sees you and get defected for it. Simple as that.

Given the amount of wiring that needs to be done as well it just isn't a smart choice.
