    hey all,

not a biggie, just wondring.... when i start my bike in gear, (which is not very often because of this), it hardly turns over.

it's like the battery is almost dead. It's fine when in neutral...

any reason why it does this?

Could be the clutch is dragging, maybe just needs adjusting.

Anything more serious than that could be too much oil in the primary chaincase (or incorrect oil), or warped clutch discs.

Yep, slow turn over on the starter when the bike is in gear with the clutch in is from drag, this can happen even when the clutch is properly adjusted, static fluid friction between the clutch plates will cause it ......

Not a good thing to be doing as it will shorten the life of or burn out the starter.
