I run avon cobra on the back and a venon on the front only because they didnt make a cobra for the front when I bought them - maybe they do now- I find them a very smooth tyre that

eliminates alot of the bike following the grooves in the bitumen

I 've done over 7000 kms now and they would'nt be half worn yet - most of my riding is in the Nth and Far Nth of Qld on very hot roads - and I am finding they are lasting quite well

    ride safe

Curious as to how many Kms you got out of your tyres.

I have an 09 fxd and the rear tyre is nearly shot at 5500k

and Im thinking what the fuck.

I replaced the tyres on my FB at 15k, the rear was shot, front ok but changed both as I was sick of the tractor tyre noise and vibration. Put a Cobra on the back and Venom on the front. Have done 10k since and they still look good so I can't see why I won't get 15k out of them. Always ran Avons on my old dyna and got 15k out of them every time. I did put one set of bridgestones on and they were bloody noisey, good in the wet and couldn't wear them out so changed them due to noise and vibration. A new set of tyres will transform your bike.

I put a new Metz on the back today, will be interesting to see how it goes as far as the Ks go.

A mate of mine has Night Dragons on a 92 fatboy was told to expect 4000Ks by the tyre man

He looks like that will be as good as he's likely to get BUT he reckons it handles like never before and is happy with the sacrifice of Ks

Got nearly 16000 k's on the dunlop rear on my 09 Fatbob. Went with that again.

Bike shop reckons you get 1 and a half rears to a front, so i should get approx 24 000 out of the front.

That is about right got 15 + from the rear, front looking a bit shabby now at 21 +

The Dunlops seem fine in the dry  but I cant get it down tight in the wet.......or is it just me ?
