Just a thought....If you're looking for cheaper rooms, cancel your bookings at the dearer accom and book at the pub. They still have plenty of rooms.

For those leaving from Rocky here are a couple of alternatives:

    Option 1

    1.  Depart Rockhampton McDonalds after liesurely breakfast at 10.00 am

    2. Stop at Boyne River, 126 kms; Picnic Lunch by the river, depart 1.30pm

    3. Stop at Miriam Vale 50kms - afternoon tea, depart 2.30pm

    4. Arrive Baragara 131 kms 4.30pm just in time for a glass of wine or perhaps sherry. Wait for the SEQ riders.

    Option 2

    1. Leave Rocky 12.00 noon

    2. Fuel stop at Miriam Vale - Big Crab 175kms

    3. Arrive Bargara 3.30pm 131kms. Get good seats at the pub and wait for SEQ riders.

    Open to other suggestions......

well thats weird .... my post has vanished somewhere between pages 9 and 10 ?????

I'm all good for catching up for the ride just can't overnight as I gotta be in Brissy on the Sunday, I can meet up at Gympie then ride up to Bundy with the group, maybe even sink a beer if time allows.

What time do you expect to be pulling into Matilda Gympie?

Anyone else from Hervey Bay/Maryborough area that wants to extend their ride by going down to Gympie to meet up is welcome to join me

Can we keep in mind the reason for this ride too?

An exceptional friend to all of us, passed away on the 2nd May, 2009.

I can't believe time passes so quickly. Just the memory makes me feel so sad. He was a true friend to many.

I know my family and myself miss the big man.

R.I.P. our friend; Wayne 'Panman'  Hollins

    18/10/68 - 2/5/09

***********My rear pegs will be down for Wayne to ride with me to Bargara*************

You guys might be lucky and have fine weather for this ride.

Looks like I might be out.

Took the bike for a spin to Rocky yesterday arvo, blew a fork seal after trying to get some air down North St (Shogun & Robbo might understand). Now with the local stealer's normal timetable I'll be lucky to get it back in a month!

Unless by some miracle I can get it done next week, when I won't even be in town........

    Dave,

Would be OK if I had tools here - all still down in Redcliffe. Can't do fork seals with a Leatherman and a shifter - not MacGiver.

Stealer shut yesterday at time of event. Open Tuesday - I'm back in Rolleston.

Mate in Yeppoon will try and get it done next week for me, but not hopeful knowing the speed of things happening round these parts.

Maybe I could still ride down with one blown seal???  Just keep front wheel off the ground, aye?
