YSS rear suspension

Be very careful if you are looking at buying YSS rear suspension for your Softail. I am out of pocket $180 because they told me there were spacers provided to lower the suspension to a height you like. What they didn't tell me was you need to drop the swing arm out do it, (actually they didn't know this themselves according to the mechanic who spoke to them) and each time you want to alter the height the same process. The Harley dealership told me it was a 5 to 6 hour job at around $90 per hour each time, what a joke. YSS refunded me my money for the shocks, but refuse to refund me for the mechanical work undertaken to discover this, and the freight, so my misfortune is your good fortune. I just hope YSS get what they deserve from the Harley Softail fraternity.....

what you say makes sence RT....

I fitted YSS shocks to my Dyna.... the issue I had was the LH lower bolt was too short for the standard spacer provided, My good fortune was that the shocks were fitted up by YSS in Adelaide FOC and they just changed the spacers.

FYI..... Whilst YSS in Thailand have been around for a while, YSS in Australia are relatively new. Apparently work closely with the Thai factory to customise to shocks for bikes in Australia so it does not surprise me when these sort of things happen. At least you got a credit for some of the grief.

How do they perform on your softy?
