Here's a sneak peek at what I've been working on. I've already gotten bored with the matte black thing and though that carbon fibre would suit the looks of the Iron really well. Also, instead of going old school with the style the carbon fibre takes it in the opposite direction and, hopefully, a look that few other will have on their Iron's or Harleys.

The whole bike will be finished by the weekend and I'll add more pics then.

By the way, no its not real CF...

A different look, I like it. The side cover looks much better.

Yeah, sure is. Doesn't cause any dramas though and the Frasers mechanics passed it so ...

One of the reasons I recommend 28-inch or wider drag bars.

Neat, if it's not real cf, what is it? The XR1200 could do with a dose

    Okay guys, a short update.

The 3M stick on carbon fibre is F-A-I-L.

I applied it to the whole bike (tank, guards, side panels) which took about a day and a half after pulling everything off the bike (tank excepted). Sadly, as soon as the bike was sat in the sun for ten minutes the edges everywhere lifted. There's no way to avoid this on a steel bike that's black and gets as hot as an air cooled Harley does. Sure, plastic panels on a superbike may work as they don;t get hot, but not on a Harley. I removed it all and threw $200 worth of 3M carbon in the bin.

    Was worth a try though...
