Looking for Quentin Meadmore

    I worked with a top bloke back in the 70's in Melbourne who was a Harley nut although he didn't yet own one. I know he does now but have no idea where he is. He used to live in the Malvern/Glen Iris area. Tall dude, quietly spoken. It's his influence that got me into it so much later. I would love to catch up with him again. His famous uncle (Clement) made that huge sculpture at the corner of William and Bourke . He probably wouldn't brag about that though! 

    If anyone has any idea of his whereabouts it would make me a happy camper! It's very likely he has a nickname..........how many Quentins do you know???  :))

    Do a google search for his name in quotes: "Quentin Meadmore"

    Thanks for that weasel. I always thought that the sculptor Clement Meadmore was his uncle but my memory is fading a bit!! Quentin was certainly not an "arty" type of bloke but he did have some interesting pursuits. One I remember was a little glass "spider house" that he glued on the outside of his lounge room window so he could watch the comings and goings of the spider. I have to admit to duplicating this many years later by putting a 4 inch huntsman and a 4 inch cockroach into a glass enclosure whilst on a backpacking trip in Western Samoa. It smelt pretty bad........hmmmmmmmmm...................... I think I have probably now just passed the age of 11 and closing on 12.... !!!!

    Weasel..... I owe you a beer.......... in fact a carton!

    I've spent a couple of years phoning lots of people with the same surname with no success and searching for my mate's name on the net which comes up with zero. That website that you listed was one I hadn't yet seen. It showed my mate as having a daughter and mentioned her name after the passing of her grandfather.

    I searched the net for HER name and found an email address and amazingly, it is HER!!!

    I just received an email from my old workmate from 34 years ago (when we were about 22 years old). He now rebuilds American cars and bikes in Melbourne. Now, if you want to see a coincidence, notwithstanding the fact that he probably built his bike  from the ground up and I just handed out cash, here are our bikes:

      

    24 bottles in a carton........ 24 hours in a day.... COINCIDENCE ????!!!!!!
