Hi All, i have a TMAX fitted to a new nightrod special with a D&D fatcat exhaust and im wondering how long it takes to tune itself to run at optimum. I noticed a flat spot at approx  3500-4000rpm  and i was told the maps are for USA and not OZ, the fuel in the states is 91ron and i use 98 ron in my bike. I called the aussie dealer Heavy Duty and they said it may take 1000km to learn, if at all? They said i can post my ECM to them and they will load a map for australia for $200. Do any members have any suggestions or advise on the time it takes or if it will ever get the flatspot out by itself? I dont really want to pay another $200 on top of the purchase price as i thought this unit can adjust itself to suit all conditions. Any feedback would be great, Thanks

just ride it as you normally would ride - if your going for a long ride try not to hold it in top gear for too long - stop every now and again and go up through the gears until the max speed that your gonna ride at - thats what I did and found it straightened itself up within about 600 kms

I found then that it just continually got better I

    safe riding
