I have a night train and the edges of the engine fins got crap all over them. I've scrubbed the fuck out them, I've tried autosol, cotton clean, light scouring pad but it won't shift.

    Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help

    Cheers

try a bit of wet and dry 1200 with a sanding block that should get the grime moving

Thanks guys, I tried all those apart from the wet and dry (maybe my last resort). The marks are like corrosion or something. Here's a couple of pics

Looks like you went to the car wash and used the engine cleaner. That stuff is acidic but because you have a night train it won't show anywhere else other than the bare alloy fin ends. To remove it will take lots of elbow grease. I recomend the 1200 using engine oil as the lubricant instead of water. Buy thank your stars that is only the fins and not alloy primary cover etc.

Hey Cubes, I've only had the bike a couple of months but I will say it was the same on my last night train

Good point mate. I bought this bike from the same place as the last bike and both had the same porbs. Maybe they detail them with something harsh
