Gday forumers, just wanted some info on how handling might be affected if i changed my mids to forward controls, and what about getting my leg around the aircleaner?which is better aftermarket or genuine? who sells aftermarket here?

Handling is easier with mid controls, although I had forward controls on my Sporty and I found them ok.  After market are cheaper but generally not as good quality as genuine, I had aftermarket controls on mine, they worked and looked good, but I did notice the chrome starting to wear off the pegs after a year or so.

One thing I found was that after putting forward controls on I needed to shift the bars back to make the bike comfortable to ride.  I ended up with 4.5" pullback risers on the bars.  A bit more would have been good but I found 4.5" was the most that I could pull the wiring back without modifying it.
