Very very sad, thoughts go out to all those families
thats shocking news,
Just came home from a 300km solo ride, and there are so many fucking many cockheads on the road today.
I had to be so on the ball it was not funny.
RIP
Condolences to all family's and friends involved in this sad event.
Cheers Sledge
Such loss. So sad to see such good people taken away from us before their time. Happy fun memories of good times don't seem enough right now.May their souls rest in peace and ride the lightning xxx. You will not be forgotten.
I thought that was a run we were going on, though I was told the wrong location (turns out it was a different run) and after the mixup was sorted I was given another offer which included too much beer to refuse.... The stories about what happened and to/by whom have flowed fast, but due to the utter, and obvious BS I don't know what's what. Sad stuff no matter what " src="/DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/_default/emoticons/sad.gif" />
This is just getting out of hand.
RIP fallen riders.
Not fair to comment without knowing the full facts, but the pregnant sister of a friend of mine was killed a while back when she was pillion with her husband and they were hit by an oncoming bike that lost control on a corner. The rider of that bike was also killed and his bike slid into them. Estimated speed of the bike that lost it on the corner was 180kph. I reckon there is a real problem with young blokes doing the high speed courses then riding like that on the highway. Hands up if you've been setting up for a bend and were overtaken by a jappa that came up so fast you didn't even know it was there. These blokes are often great riders but Valentino Rossi wouldn't ride like that on the highway. Not saying that is what happened here, but car drivers aren't the only idiots on the road.
R.I.P.
It's old news now but this happened just outside my home town and I know a few of the boys who were there. My Father-in-law knows a few of them very well, including one of the blokes who died at the scene who was on the poker run with the outlaws.
It was just a freakish accident and it could have happened to anyone if they were unlucky.
One of the riders in the pack pulled out to overtake and hit a sole motorbike rider coming the other way head on. What are the chances of that?
The bloke with his daughter in the sidecar then ran straight into the carnage and the poor kid copped the windshield of the sidecar in the throat.
The bloke coming the other way was apparently my Dad's cousin's son but we've never met them to be honest so I have no odea who he is.
His wife was in a car about 5 minutes ahead of him and she came back to find him like he was... and out of respect I'm not gonna go much further than that.
The GOOD news is I saw the bloke on the bike with the Sidecar AND his daughter in the Harley shop last week.
She's up and walking and he's on crutches. She's still got her head in one of those jaw braces...
She's a pretty kid too I must say and it was good to see them recovering after hearing so much bad stuff about the accident itself.
