That's a very nice, original bike. There was one for sale here a while back which I could have bought ... for around $15000! But it was very low miles. Probably should have. Anyway, that's nice - lovely collection you have there. Trust you manage to rotate them out onto the road!

    very sweet ironhead damien

they are a bit of a rare thing here in the west.. must be a few around but you never see any on the road. I bought mine in from Georgia a couple of years ago.. had been looking for a low mileage , unbutchered 74 model for many years on and off in OZ  but few to be found. This one cost 3800 in the usa plus nearly three to get it over.  7000 original  miles . Had to spend a couple of grand tidying it up but I kinda like it.. bit different to the Norton.. cop a lot of shit from everyone about ironheads which considering none of them have ever ridden one is a little funny.

The H1 I bought in from Florida.. that was a bloody disaster.. such is life

Thanks! One year and considerable work and $$$$. Nut and bolt.

Between the general scarcity given that few were imported and probably fewer still made it West, that's not surprising. I guess given the distances and some of the reliability issues, you'd want to be pretty sure of what you had going there.

So you've got a good, low mile stocker for under $10K? Very nicely done! I'd pay $10k tomorrow .... if I could fit another bike in the garage. The engine has a nice, hard, raw feel to it, not dissimilar tot he 750 S but perhaps a bit more grunt. I also liked the 850 Commando, but it was just a bit softer feeling.

Pity about the Kwacka - assuming it gave you grief somewhere along the line? My old Mach III used to chew out clutch bits on a regular basis. BTW, you might want to check out the 'Riders' group on Facebook - only one or two H-D people there, but am amusing bunch, some ex-racers and a lot of ex-Frasers Motorcycles people, and it's good to wind them up ;-)

this came with the sprint.. i think its a SX 175?/ ..seem right?

any one got sidecovers, gear lever, sidestand spring for said bike that they would like to swap sell

I have other parts to get ride off for that bike, frames,  tanks, wheels, instruments, indicators odd motor bits, key switch, horn, headlights.. not really worried about dollars.. more keen to swap for stuff to complete this unit

Check the engine/VIN number. The 125 and 175 looked pretty much the same, especially once they'd been painted. Pretty rare here - mate has a 175 Rapido but no spare bits.

    PS

the sprint has a chromed tank, chrome excellent apart from a little discolour around the filler cap .. not too keen on chrome tanks but seems a shame to dechrome it.. anyone want a chrome tank suit 74 sprint??.. swap for good tank same vintage...kinda cute if it was in the AMF colour scheme but maybe thats optimistic

    cheers Greg
