Try a Balbo Power Pad for cleaning your pipes,

I have used them to get the melted rubber from my boots off no probs

    and as the packaging says

    "cleans the impossible!"

you can get from big W or the hardware shop or the like.

    Cheers Sledge

Ps and nearly no elbow grease

Pretty sure the beer didn't do anything - it was his tongue melting onto the hot pipes that left the mark.

Autosol metal polish and a bit of rubbing .... great shit works on chrome, aluminium, staniless, brass, copper, glass ... haven't found a metal yet that it doesn't work on.

Sounds a lot like Blue-Job, Autosol will take off blueing, I used it the other day to remove the wifes melted boot remains, works really good on aluminium, I can get the mirror finish back on the clutch and brake leavers with it

Most auto shops have it, comes in a gold/black tube like tooth paste

I recently got put onto a product called

    Liquid Reflections.

Works just as good as autosol if not even better and a whole lot faster.

I got mine from the OG speedshop in Adelaide.

    about $21.00.

and goes a fair way as well

try getting pipes hot with engine running and try pouring boiling water over damaged area, rub with soft cloth will doing so,use old garden glove to protect hands, only my 2 cents worth.
