Don't encourage him.
I dont think anyone is safe now George !!!! Bloody good effort !!!! I can see that photo hanging on a wall in the bar area of Grats and that other guy..... You should start a thread with all the characters you have ridden with !!! that would be a hoot !!!!!! By the way Krackers ,, nice pic of yours with the new headlight !!!!!
How about a self portrait next China.
Street Bob had to make way for the '16 Road King. Not keen on the RK classic - wanted hard saddlebags and cast wheels instead - so when the RK standard returned to the line up in Silver, it seemed like fate.
Street Glide seat and WIld1 Chubby wo504bars. Got Jaybrake forward controls coming next week,
Ran a few Powervision autotune sessions and its going well. Trying to be brave and stick with the stock exhaust, even though it sounds awful. I miss the tone of the Vance and Hines on the street bob but not the volume. See how long i can hold out for.
Haha. You're probably right about the month thing. But I decided to funnel my money into the bars and forward controls ($1400 !!!) so nothing happening on the exhaust front for at least a while.
I rode the bike for a day in completely stock mode. I was struck by how many revs were needed to get it moving and how it just didn't like to cruise at anything under 3000 rpm. Coming off a street bob with a professional custom map, I was used to it being responsive and cruising from 2500rpm -2900 as the sweet spot.
Then loaded the Dynojet "Stock Improved" map and rode it with that (just changed the idle rpm and kept the exhaust butterfly open) for a day. Bit better but similar characteristics in how it ran.
Then started the autotune process based on the Dynojet map, not the bone stock one (very different AFR targets to stock). It's completely changed the way the bike likes to rev, how it moves off the line with way less revs, and where it is comfortable cruising along without lugging and still has great throttle roll on response- now 2500/2600 to 2900. Completely different bike.
I'm not gonna clog up this thread with pics etc of my VE delta/compare tables etc...Firstly I don't know how to "read" them. If you're interested message me and I can send you the delta tables to have a look at.
My local tuner who did my last bike, said to do this process and then send him the map to have a look at which I will do this week. What has surprised me in all this is how much room for improvement there was via autotuning, even if ya haven't changed a single thing on the bike engine/exhaust wise. Sorry I can't be more clear on what adjustments its actuall made - ie: leaner/richer etc...
Nice bike there Crusty.
My 2015 street glide
