Saddle bag added after realising I can’t keep carrying things done the back of my pants ;-)

Soft tails first came out in 1983-4 ish I think. About the same time shovels stopped.
Seems a bit strange that it has taken so long for someone else (Triumph) to start making basically the same thing with the Bobber and now the Speedmaster.
Especially seeing that soft tails were generally considered not as good handling as twin shockied swingarm bikes.

Interesting you say that Hilly.
I am happy with the way my FXST handles too. I've put progressive on the rear and those progressive cartridges in the front. Plus a wider front tyre.
The 200 wide back tyre does take a bit of extra effort in the corners however you just get used to it.
Guess I was just referring to the normal , "Dynas handle better than Soft tails" comments you hear.
Last Dyna I rode was a fatbob, it handled pretty well but could not deal with bumps as well as my softie.

Hilly,
remember that area from long time ago, but, your mileage per liter, would put any accountant into an premature orgasm.

Re upside down pics, with all devices you're supposed to hold the device so that when taking a landscape picture the bottom of the device is on the right side. Apple pics taken upside down don't correct easily for some reason on this forum.
Apple are experts at making the performance of their old hardware degrade over time to force you into buying their new hardware pretty regularly

Had a very rare weekend off and so stopped in at a spot I’ve wanted to shoot at. Only iPhone shots today, but I was happy with them anyway :-)

Thanks blokes. She's a 1989 fxsts softail springer with low mileage and practically original. Even the exhaust and air cleaner are oem. She's only set up for touring for the trip to her new home. I bought her to keep the dyna company in the garage. Will have her on historical rego.
