Chaser , very nice ride you have there ... a question to all who have them ... axle covers , are you all happy with how they fit ... got some for my 08 Softail but they are incrediblly loose ... have raised this question elsewhere on this site and got some interesting replies but just seems a bit strange at how loose they are .

Yes went back to dealer to make sure i had correct ones and yes i do ... the Willie G ones seem to have a plastic insert in them for the little grub screw to bite into but the Moto Co. ones i got dont come with them .

The fact that there is one tiny little grub screw tighting down on a flat metal surface dosent seem to be a real bright idear but if no one has lost one after all the vibrations and pot holes our great Aussie roads throw up at us then maybe i am worrying about nothing .

Will eventully try a few of the idears that other members have susgessted but am always interested in hearing other peoples idears .

Happy riding folks ... when its not pissing down like here in Sunny Qld at the moment , Lol ... Tim .

It's an old pic. I actually have the rear covers on now. Tossing up with getting a heavy breather twin butterfly style air cleaner. MCAS have them on special for $300. Not sure how hard they are to install though.

I've got an S&S Duel runner on my Deuce -expensive,but gives heaps of leg room & great performance.

    Hi Chaser,

Bike looks great mate,My friend has an awesome beefed up deluxe.

I will try and get some pics on the weekend.

In regards to your air cleaner... i personally would get a H-D original stage 1 as the after market kills the look of the bike.

Stage 1 with the original cover or a screamin eagle like i did but in chrome.

Just my opinion, you can over do the bike the wrong way some times.

My screamin eagle cleaner cost me about $260 from trivetts sydney Alexandria.

I have tried after market parts my self, and i learned the hard way.

Genuine accessories fit correctly and also show quality.

Like i said , my opinion only.

Your bike looks neat either way.

    Its pretty loud mate.
    Bit of a worry actually.
I've been lucky so far, but got followed by a Motorcycle cop the other day, so I'm a bit worried.
Looks a lot better in Real life, the Iphone tends to stuff the Colour and Detail up.
    I love the Stance though.
    Cheers

     Hey 55,

A question about your bars, are they genuine HD 12" mini apes?

How do you find them for comfort? Thinking about putting some on my deluxe.

    cheers in advance!

The only thing I have on you is the SE2s are louder than the V&H. Do you think it's time I stopped complaining about it and bought another set? Time for a lottery ticket. "The metal grind" finish on this series looks pretty cool though, I reckon (close up of the rear guard). Too much chrome for lots of folks but its the first pretty bike I've had so the more the better. Paint work on these is so nice it's impossible to show in a photo.

Got a new Danny Gray Buttcrack solo seat ,completely changed the look of the bike, much more streamlined.

No Gel rod, was an extra $150 and i only use this seat for around town, have the signature seat with the back rest for longer trips.
