This is my 2011 lo. Pretty close to stock, smoke indicators and bags at the moment but there will be plenty more to come I'm sure.
Not a lot of love for Blacklines here but I have learnt heaps from this place so thought it time to time contribute, somewhat.
My toy and the little Bro's Nightster from a short trip on the weekend. Good pair IMHO....
Sorry old Bull, not detachable. however they are supposed to be, still waiting on the dealer to tell me how they screwed it up and when they'll be changing the bolts for the quick release bracket.
I also have the quick release sissy bar and windshield, if the bags are anything like them changing will be a snap.
Nice photo Sambo. I test rode one a few months back and didn't mind it at all . . .

Current configuration, Paint and 56 badges next major change. Not a bling bike, just a rider.
Isaac, g'day, sorry for late response..been out for a few days trying out the new seat. Verdict...its pretty damn good...pity about the weather though.
The seat is a Corbin Gentry leather solo from "zoom4parts.com". The mounting kit is made by "VTwin manufacturing" and the frame cover is made by me, on account of the VTwin offering being a piece of crap.
The seat sits on a T-bar set up and fits fairly easily once you sort out the mounting hardware...unfortunately I had to modify the mount to fit around the ignition module and the fuse box...this really ought to be engineered better so that mods are not required, but as I am learning, so much that is produced by after-market manufacturers are engineered by 3rd graders!
Anyway the frame cover supplied was a large pressed sheet metal job that was a complete bitch to fit and meant you had to take the seat and mounting kit off everytime you wanted to access the battery or fuses...completely ridiculous, hence I have knocked up a vinyl one for now until I can pretty it up a little...but it works like a treat. The springs supplied are ok but I will be replacing them with longer and stronger ones soon. I weigh 84kilos and I bottom them out on any substantial bump...again poorly engineered IMHO.
It took me a long time to choose a seat from the range on offer and frankly although zoom4parts were good to deal with, I tried a bunch of other US based companies and most of them either never responded to my inquiries or wanted to charge nearly as much to ship the items as the items cost...a complete rip off. Again I am very unimpressed with most US based online companies, crap service and little interest.
Anyway I am sure that's more than you wanted to know. The seat is good though, very comfortable, a little awkward with forward pegs (hence floorboards on the way) and it looks a little different.
cheers

Thanks for the info, Flashman; I was looking for a similar seat and asked on here some months ago - and yours I like.
My 12yo niece's first effort at sketching a bike. Not bad ay ?
Not bad?! I love it!
Please tell her "well done".
Do you have an idea on what the final costs will be by the time you have it on the road???
