Would a fatbob rear guard fit on an 07 wide glide?? and what mods would be needed to do to achieve this, as i think the fat bob guards are wider aren't they????

Fat Bob Fender is a little wider, Its tight and you have to be very careful or you can scratch the fender easily, the mounting holes all lined up correctly as well.
There is another soul that basically did the same with a 2010 wide Glide fender onto an 09 FXD, The 2010 WG fender is the same width as the Fat Bob Fender.
I believe could put a Fat Bob fender on your 07 WG with no problem, its a pretty easy change and I expect the measurements between the struts is the same as my 07 FXD Super Glide.
It took me about 3 hours to remove my original fender and install the Fat Bob fender.
Heres is the link to the thread, he adds a lot of details but his fit was apparentlt a little different than mine as he had to make some indentations on the fender and I didnt have to.

I used the Night Train / Night Rod for inspiration thats for sure. Even to the point of measuring the wheel stripes but made mine a bit wider. I call it Night Rider of course. And it all started coz i wanted a set of pipes that were a bit different and werent V&H. Jeez i had them in the mid 90s and now they're that common they're like you-know-whats.

The pic is actually a quick snap taken after she was just rolled out the garage for the first time. I photoshopped out the background and turned it into a blackground. It wasnt a pro shot for a mag, but a similar pic is also in January's Heavy Duty mag where she was the winner in the Mild to Wild comp .

Yeah, looks the goods with the chrome swing arm as well.

It Cracks Burto!! I like it - Its one whole muffler higher than the last one so much better in the right handers - its heaps lighter as well, I'm having a hard time getting the time to ride it - but I'm on it tomorrow!!
