Certainly have, several times. Went from Eagle Farm, onto the ICB and to Ipswich road non stop in no time. Took the childbride and dogs over the weekend , took about three days to get get through. Bloody car park. It will be a good run when you have to pay, it'll keep the freeloaders out.( ps I have a company e-toll, otherwise I'd be taking the long road like the rest)

Went thru in one of the work trucks....you know, the trucks that look like Dave's bike?
Well, I can confirm, it's definately a tunnel.

The wife and I left on Friday arvo for a weekend away, we were driving from the southside to near the airport wher we leave our car.Just after leaving home my wife went into a shop,I sat in the car listening to the radio. While I was listening Traffic report came over , there's a break down in the tunnel, as we were going over the Gateway next traffic report, two break downs and as we got of the Gateway artieral , Three (3) break downs. That was in about 45 minutes. I think I'd let it settle for a while . Sitting in there on an air cooled bike breathing the fumes would be one way tho meet Clem himself.

    Ahhh Trev,

Now  I got it.  I is a bit slow being from down in da deep south.

I detest rubberneckers  They are world wide let alone being here in Aussie.

How long is ya tunnel?  Must get on goggle and have a captains cook.

    B.

I thought it would have been a good idea to put thick windows in the Clem 7 so's when you get packed in like sardines...the dolphins and bull sharks can peer in at ya and pretend it's a fishes smorgasboard.

Only problem with that is you'd probably see uncle vito in his cement shoes swaying with the tides.

If anyone catches up with Skullsnflames, let him know the boxes are waiting for him.

I'm a fan. I've taken the car through the tunnel Mon to Fri mornings since it opened (coz it's free) and I've had no hold ups at all.

That's just after 0800hrs each day and it takes exactly five minutes at 80kph from the opening (off the M1 near the 'Gabba) to exit onto Lutwyche road just north of the Royal Brisbane Hospital.

Most jams I've heard of occur on the weekends - or maybe I've been lucky.

Tried it heading back last night and the biggest delay was all the usual crap Fiday night traffic leading up to the tunnel. But every tunnel experience to date has been 80kph every time.

Promised my boy I'll take him through it on the Harley - and that'll be as noisy as all F#ck!!
