SE slip-ons for 08 and maybe other years also are to quiet for most, modification may be illeagle, but who cares.
A specalist tool shop will have the required hollow T bit to remove the 2 screws holding the baffle, then from the inlet end set a large flat blade screw driver on the lip of the baffle and belt it with a hammer.
The baffles are set in place with a sealant so you need to belt the screw driver a lot but they will come out. I did it by myself but a mate to hold the muffler body would be easier. Sand the remaining sealant off before refitting to make it easier.
The baffle itself is a tube that is pressed closed at the inlet end to direct gasses and sound up into the glass packing with holes in the tube to let the gasses flow from the packing and out the end. There are 6 rows of 5 holes giving a total area about 20% more than the header pipe.
I drilled some more holes, adding to the exit end of the 6 rows to make each row 7 holes long and then 1 more hole to the inlet end to make 6 rows of 8 holes. Then on the 2 rows oppersite the pressed in bit I added 1 more. That makes a total of 50 holes v the 30 they came with.
She, the Fun Police, says it sounds like a Harley now but I'm not to make it any louder since I do come and go at times like 11pm, 3am etc. and she still likes the neibours.
REMEMBER it's easier to add than it is to remove holes so don't get to carried away the first time, also as you get a few more K's on the motor and it free's up more it will get louder, when (not if) you do head work/cams it will get louder again.
You could just drill holes or cut away the pressed in bit but then you could just leave the baffles out to. I think if you want it louder than mine you should continue adding holes to the rows at the exit end.
